Princess Leonor , heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Spain, swore an oath of obedience to the constitution on her 18th birthday, Tuesday, October 31 2023. Quoted from the Vanity Fair page, Princess Leonor in her speech discussed the importance of the constitution and said she had sworn an oath to her father, King Felipe VI .
The oath-taking ceremony signifies the Spanish Royal family’s adherence to the constitution, which began to change to democracy in the 1970s. Princess Leonor was accompanied by King Felipe, Queen Letizia and her sister Princess Sofia.

Princess Leonor was born on October 31 2005. One week after Princess Leonor was born Queen Letizia and King Felipe took a photo outside the hospital. Education
Princess Leonor started formal school education in September 2008 in Santa Maria de Los Rosales, where King Felipe VI previously studied. In August 2021, Princess Leonor studied higher education at UWC Atlantic College for two years with the International Baccalaureate program. In September 2022, Princess Leonor underwent military training at the Zaragoza Military Academy.
First Royal Event
During the Spanish National Military Day parade held on 12 October 2014 in Madrid the first major royal event was attended by Princesses Leonor and Sofia. This event was the first time Princess Leonor met the public.
