How to Get to Penglipuran Village, Bali and Entry Ticket Prices

Penglipuran Village in Bali received an award from the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) as one of the 54 Best Villages 2023, on Thursday, 19 October 2023. This tourist village, which is located on Jalan Penglipuran, Bali, has long been the favorite tourist village on the Island of the Gods. .
Penglipuran Village comes from the Balinese words “Pengeling” and “Pura”. “pengeling” means remembering or remembering, while pura means holy or ancestral place. Penglipuran can be interprete as “a place to remember ancestors”.
Penglipuran is a traditional village that still maintains Balinese culture. Things that make tourists interested in visiting the Penglipuran tourist village include the traditional houses of the residents and the beauty of the temple architecture which is still preserved today, and the friendliness of the residents. Apart from that, because this village is at an altitude of around 600 meters above sea level, the air is cool.
The location of this village is right in the middle of Bali Island, precisely in Kubu Village, Bangli District, Bangli Regency. Here’s how to get to Penglipuran Village and the entrance ticket price.

How to get to Penglipuran Village

Penglipuran Village is around 63 kilometers from the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park. It takes about 1 hour 50 minutes to get there. This distance is almost the same as from the Kuta Beach or Seminyak area. Visitors can rent a car or motorbike to get there.
Access to Penglipuran Village from Ngurah Rai Airport can be via the By Pass Ngurah Rai road, then go to the By Pass Ida Bagus Mantra road to the intersection of Banjar Siyut road then turn left, to go to the Gianyar area. From Jalan Banjar Siyut the journey continues to Jalan Raya Tulikup then via Jalan Taman Bali until arriving in Bangli City. From Bangli City, tourists just have to look for Jalan Nusantara until they find a T-junction then turn left. Not far from this place there will be a sign pointing to the direction “Penglipuran Traditional Village Tourist Attraction” or Jalan Penglipuran. After that, just follow the road until you reach the gate of Penglipuran Village.

Ticket price

The entrance ticket price to this place for domestic tourists is IDR 25,000/adult and IDR 15,000/child, while for foreign tourists it is IDR 50,000/adult and IDR 30,000/child.

There is a large parking area for visitors who come by car or motorbike which is located close to the tourist attraction. Apart from that, there is a parking area for large vehicles such as 45 seater tourist buses.
Penglipuran tourist village is open every day from 08.15 – 18.30 WITA. Tourists usually spend time in this village with an average visit of approximately 1.5 hours.
